Foundation support has helped provide equipment, improve library spaces, expand learning opportunities, and create a more welcoming experience for everyone who uses Seymour Library.

Current Project: Teen Scene Renovation

Seymour Library has received a $10,000 grant from the Suzanne Lee Trust specifically for the Teen Scene Renovation. With additional community support, there is an opportunity to build on that funding and make an even greater impact for local teens.

The first priority is replacing the existing booths, with additional improvements being explored to make the Teen Scene more welcoming, functional, and easier to use.

Other Foundation-Supported Projects

Technology and Equipment

Funding for equipment such as 3D printers that support creativity, learning, and hands-on exploration.

Outdoor Spaces

Support for outdoor improvements, including the library’s outdoor pavilion, creating more flexible space for programs, gatherings, and community use.

Staff Development

Support for professional development opportunities, such as helping Youth Services staff attend a conference in Buffalo by covering registration and lodging. These opportunities help staff bring new ideas, programs, and resources back to the community.

Library Enhancements

Funding for improvements to library spaces, including new flooring, tables, and chairs in the Duryea Room, helping make the library more comfortable, functional, and welcoming.
